Great undulation on these FAST greens. Pretty wide fairways with great lies in short fluffy grass. Some water, minimal bunkers.
This course is always in great shape.
Professional & friendly staff. Pricey food but pretty tasty. Restaurant closed in afternoon
The Palm Aire Cypress Course is in great shape and has improved tremendously. The greens were a bit slow but smooth. Fairways were pristine, and the rough was manageable—challenging but not so thick that you lose your ball. The on-site restaurant offers decently priced food and drinks, and the staff was friendly.
The course can be tricky to find, so it’s wise to enter the address in your GPS ahead of time:
3701 Oaks Clubhouse Drive, Pompano Beach, FL 33069
Woodmont Golf Course is in pretty decent shape overall. The fairways are excellent, and while the greens could use a bit of improvement, they still play well. The staff is alright, but a highlight was the frequent visits from the cart girl, which was much appreciated. The food, though a bit pricey, was delicious—especially the egg sandwich.
Bonaventure has a decent design with unique features, like the waterfall, though it’s often out of service. Many tee boxes were in such rough shape that temporary TURF boxes were set up. Adding to the frustration, sprinklers turned on mid-round, spraying players on the tee boxes. The greens were patchy and yellow, and the restaurant was closed for “renovations.” While the layout still offers some challenge, the overall condition of the course feels like it’s in decline.
Decent greens, Tricky elevations (Built on old garbage dump which is awesome, but no, it does not smell),
Semi narrow (Little water but easy to lose balls in weeds on either side of most holes)
Hard to get a tee time.
Strict, but friendly, helpful staff.
Madison Green has a great layout and friendly staff, making it an enjoyable course to visit.
However, the course condition was a major letdown. The greens were destroyed, the fairways patchy, and the carts were in terrible shape—“dog track” was a common sentiment. Despite the strong design, the poor upkeep took away from the experience.
